CPS Celebrates Environment Day 2025 with Green Enthusiasm

Chetona Public School observed World Environment Day 2025 with vibrant activities and a strong message of sustainability and ecological responsibility. The event, held on the school premises, brought together students, teachers, and community members in a shared commitment to protect the planet.

The day began with a ceremonial tree plantation drive led by the school's Principal, Ms. Shova Khan, who emphasized the importance of nurturing environmental consciousness among the younger generation. “Each tree we plant today is a promise to the future. We must raise children who respect nature, not just for themselves but for generations to come,” she said during her opening speech.

Students showcased their creativity and concern for the environment through poster-making contests, speeches, and short skits on climate change and pollution. A special awareness rally around the school neighborhood was also organized, featuring eco-friendly slogans and handmade banners crafted by students.

Teachers and environmental educators facilitated interactive sessions focusing on topics like water conservation, recycling, and sustainable living. The school also launched its new "Green Campus" initiative, encouraging students to minimize plastic use and participate in weekly clean-up drives.

The celebration concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where all attendees vowed to take at least one actionable step to improve their immediate environment.

Chetona Public School continues to be a beacon of holistic education, instilling in its students both academic excellence and a deep sense of social and ecological responsibility.
